The 2022 vintage is part of the very closed circle of extra-ordinary vintages in every sense of the word.  The depth of an almost black robe, its captivating violet reflections instantly immerse us in the atmosphere of the vintage.  The nose surprises with an unexpected marriage of juicy black fruits, spices and subtle floral notes. The concentration and aromatic complexity (black cherry, pink, cedar...) are displayed almost with arrogance.  On the palate, the attack is stunning: it is fleshy, tasty and mellow. It is a warm invitation to discover the power, density and richness of the vintage. The wine has character, a wave of silky and assertive tannins forms in the middle of the mouth and comfortably covers the impressive structure of the wine.  The finish is persistent, balanced and ends on mentholated notes synonymous with freshness. The foundations of a huge wine are laid. The 2022 Château Phélan Ségur is monumental.
