Owner's words
First classified growth in 1855 Sauternes, Clos Haut - Peyraguey is located at the highest point of the hill of Bommes. Its exceptional terroir, its unparalleled exposure makes Clos Haut - Peyraguey a wine of great subtlety, a nectar of lightness and refinement. Since 1618, date of first harvests in this former barony, Clos Haut - Peyraguey has enchanted lovers of very fine wines, always able to recognize exceptional nectars and singular elegance. The property has belonged to Bernard Magrez since 2012. The Clos Haut-Peyraguey 2023 grapes have been harvested in 3 successive pickings, between the 13 September and the 5th October. The Clos Haut-Peyraguey 2023 palate mixes candied and roasted notes, combining freshness and aromatic complexity, with lots of floral notes. The grapes have kept a good acidity, guaranteeing a nice freshness and a significant aging potential in the wine. The Clos Haut-Peyraguey terroir, bringing its finesse and elegance touch, offers us a very promising 2023 vintage.
