Owner's words
Château Dassault has expanded on the south part of the estate with 12 more hectares located on the limestone plateau and clay-limestone slopes. The vineyard spreads over 39 hectares now and the expansion gives a new dimension to the wine. The goal was clearly to improve the quality of the wine and we succeeded : 2023 is deeper, more precise and elegant. With 73% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, this vintage has silky tannins, a long finish and lots of freshness. To have as much freshness in the wine when weather conditions were quite hot in august and september strenghtens our feeling that our terrois are really adapted to the climate changes. This vintage shows a clear improvment in the style of our wines with a beautiful energy and lots of precision. Doubtless, a very good vintage for the estate !
